Here is the information you should write down, unless I have handed out a slip of paper with the information on it. Web site: https://ycp.powersoftwo.org (login required for some content)

3. Spelling
My last name is spelled as "snyder". If you spell it as "synder" (or some other way) it will not work.

7. Academia
Most recent to least recent (top-down backward-chaining):

8. Monitors
I am used to using many monitors, so sometimes I lose track of the mouse.

I may be typing and you will not see anything.

9. Web page
Sometime after the last section meeting of a lesson for a class, perhaps the next morning, I publish updated notes on the class web site.

After that, I only make minor changes to those notes such as fixing typo's, spelling, etc. Anything substantially new will have a new page at the lesson on which it was added.

10. Email account
Every student should have and use their institutional email account.

When needed, I send messages to your official email account provided by the institution.

11. Late arrivals
Attendance list boxI record late arrivals at the end of class. So, if you come in late, you should make sure at the end of class that I have marked you late and not absent.

You are present if you are sitting in your seat when class is to start. Otherwise, you are late.

12. Early departures
If you leave class early, you should let me know before class starts that you are leaving early. If possible, sit near the exit so that you do not disturb class as you exit. I record early departures as part of the attendance for that day.

13. Running class
I like to run class as if we are a business team, I am the manager/coach, you are the employee/team member, and class meetings are team meetings. Here are some minimum ground rules.

14. Syllabus
Make sure that you have carefully reviewed the class calendar and syllabus.

You are responsible for what goes on in class and for checking your email and the class web site on a regular (i.e., daily) basis.
