SSH: Secure Shell

1. SSH: Secure Shell

2. SSH
SSH (Secure Shell) allows one terminal access to a system from another computer. CentOS appears to be ready for SSH after install.

My main system is Windows 7 Professional, so these SSH notes are oriented towards using such a machine to access a Linux machine.

From Windows, I use ExtraPuTTY 0.29 (a fork of PuTTY 0.67, not updated since 2015) to access most machines (since access can be more easily automated) though some machines and web hosting sites (due to use of newer security protocols) require normal (and more up-to-date) PuTTy.
